Courseware Description

  • This course focuses on taking the novice-to-intermediate Solid Edge user to a higher level of productivity through the introduction of advanced modeling and assembly techniques. It will cover fundamental skills and concepts central to the use of Solid Edge and proper utilization of the process-specific workflows and modeling tools to create cast, machined, sheet metal and plastic parts.

The main topics in the training include:

  • Learning how to apply the advance tool to design the model

  • Learning the advanced assembly tools

  • Learning to create animation for assemblies

  • Learning how to create the sheet metal design

  • Learning the frame design tools

  • Learning how to use the surfacing tools

  • Learning the advanced tools of synchronous technologies

  • Learning the wire and harness design tools

  • Learning how to use Xpress Route to build tube and pipe design

  • 2 Days

Who Should Attend

  • This course is designed for experience CAD users especially Solid Edge users.

Pre-Requisites
Potential students should have or completed the following prior to the class:

  • Mechanical Design Experience

  • Completion of some of the Solid Edge Tutorials delivered with the product

  • Windows Experience

Course Achievement

  • Students will have learned how to fully utilize the advanced tools of Solid Edge software to design production level parametric models of parts, assemblies, detail drawings and document management. This course will bring users from beginner level to intermediate level with knowing at least 80% of solid edge command/tools.
